Communal Garden

DCGP has one communal garden: Hillside Community Garden (306 E 8th St)

This garden is managed communally, meaning that all gardeners work together to plant, maintain, and harvest the produce. Gardeners are led by a Communal Garden Manager, a DCGP staff member that is an experienced gardener. The Communal Garden Manager guides gardeners throughout the season, coordinating work days, helping design the garden, and directing gardeners in weekly tasks. The communal garden is a great option for beginning gardeners that would like some guidance, as well as people that like to work in groups and desire a more social gardening experience.
